3x Grammy Award Winning artist MAXWELL is set to headline the nations largest Mothers Day Festival and 10th Anniversary Concert at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.

New York, NY, USA – February 21, 2018 – Celebrating 10 years of being the nations largest Mothers Day Festival in the U.S, Platinum Productions and Big Bloc Entertainment are gearing up to celebrate mothers and their 10-year Anniversary with three-time GRAMMY award-winning singer and songwriter, Maxwell for the annual Mothers Day Festival.

Launched in 2008, by Platinum Productions and Big Bloc Entertainment, the annual R&B festival has grown from a one-day concert to a three day multi-concert and entertainment series hosted in Atlantic City, NJ. The Mothers Day Festival will draw over 20,000 mothers and families from all over the United States to partake in the festivities from Friday, May 11th ending on Sunday May 13th 2018.

In addition to their 10-year legacy, the business duo has more to celebrate. Festival founder, Bill Ingram attributes his idea to produce the Mothers Day festival out of his appreciation for the sacrifice that his very own mother made. Gifting him with his first business loan, which jumpstarted his career and company in the late 90’s. Gladys Knight: Gladys Maria Knight, known as the “Empress of Soul”, is a singer, songwriter and actress. The seven-time Grammy-award winner, is best known for the hits she recorded during the 1960s and 1970s, for both the Motown and Buddah Records labels, with her group Gladys Knight & the Pips which included her brother and her cousins.

Vivian Green: Neo-soul singer and pianist who have released several #1 dance singles, including “I Like It (But I Don’t Need It)” and the hit song, “Emotional Rollercoaster”. In 2014, she became the first artist to sign with producer Kwame’s record label, Make Noise Recordings.

Whispers: The Whispers are a classic R&B group from Los Angeles, California, who have scored hit records since the late 1960s. Their first platinum album “The Whispers” highlighted “A Song For Donny,” and their biggest hit “And The Beat Goes On.” It was their most successful selling album (double platinum).

Dramatics: The Dramatics are a smooth R&B vocal group who scored a number of hits throughout the late-1960s and ’70s, despite a revolving line-up. This R&B vocal group was formed in Detroit in 1964 as the Sensations. They changed their name to the Dramatics in 1965. US hits with the label included ‘Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get’ (R&B number 3 and pop number 9, 1971), ‘In The Rain’ (R&B number 1 and pop number 5, 1972) and ‘Hey You! Phoenix, AZ, USA – It’s official. February 22, 2018 is PCM Rocks Day! Governor Doug Ducey issued a proclamation from the State of Arizona and named the day of PCM’s Platinum Anniversary Celebration, February 22, 2018 as PCM Rocks Day. The proclamation further calls upon all citizens to render support to… the organization and to make themselves aware of Phoenix Conservatory of Music.

What did this amazing organization do to get its own day declared by the State of Arizona?

15-year-old pianist and composer Michael Rodrigues says, “PCM is a place that provides opportunities that I would not be able to have without this program. It is a place that provides knowledgeable teachers that want to see students succeed in their dreams, whether it is music or not.”

It has been an incredible journey for Phoenix Conservatory of Music, a Phoenix based nonprofit community school of music with a very big reach. Founded in 1998, Phoenix Conservatory of Music has served over 18,000 students across the valley in its 20-year history and is committed to providing our community with quality music education recognized on a city, state and national level that is affordable and accessible.


Every student with a desire to learn has the opportunity to learn. In November, at a special ceremony in Washington, D.C. the nation’s top cultural agencies honored the best Creative Youth Development programs from over 350 nominations from across the country for their work in providing excellent arts and humanities learning opportunities to young people. Three of Phoenix’s own students had the honor of traveling to our Nation’s Capital to The Phoenix Conservatory of Music as it was recognized with a 2017 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award and two students performed for the ceremony and were the ONLY two students to perform at this prestigious ceremony in Washington DC. The award was presented by The National Endowment for the Arts and their partners.

As if all of this was not enough – now the organization gets its own day. “This day is a rallying point for our community”, says Nixon, “to give those who want to learn more the opportunity to engage and learn, and hopefully support the organization. It is so important that we get individuals to invest into our students, so these young people are getting the training and care that they need in a supportive and safe environment.”

Taking a look at current issues with the opioid crisis. It is very challenging to overcome this problem which has been going on for many years but as of recent has gone out of hand. One can speculate that this is due to the increasing use of technology for fraudulent activities.

The number of falsified prescriptions has doubled since the year 2000. Pharmacists are now plagued with the role of being a detective; having to decipher which scripts are real and which are fraudulent. Drug addicts are finding new ways to beat and outsmart the system in order to obtain scheduled substances. In closing, it is true that healthcare professionals must embrace technology and it’s ability to increase productivity and precision, however they will never be able to replace the human brain power of a Pharmacist.
